(Tiper Stock Exchange) – Here comes synthetic grass made from recycled plasticthanks to the joint forces of Fornaroli Polymersan Italian company that distributes thermoplastic polymers and chemical products, Versalis (Eni)as supplier of the raw material, ed Italgreena leading Italian company in the production of entirely made in Italy synthetic grass.

The new turf of “recycled” synthetic grass made his debut in a padel court in Piacenzathanks to the promoted initiative by the Borgotrebbia Tennis Club Amateur Sports Associationin the presence of the mayor Katia Tarasconi and the municipal councilor for sport Mario Dadati.

Carpet installed contains approximately 30% recycled plastic and it was done using the Versalis Revive PE line of polymers, i.e. a blend of polymers and additives produced from post-consumer packaging waste and certified according to the Plastic Second Life scheme. These are “compounds” they contain high percentages of polyethylene from recycled raw material developed with cutting-edge technologies.

The carpet made is more sustainable compared to traditional carpets because in addition to containing post-consumer material it is, in turn, 100% recyclable at end of life.

Luisa Fornarolipresident of Fornaroli Polymers, recalled “sensitivity towards environmental protection has always been our constant practice which is articulated in numerous sectors. The collaboration with Versalis (Eni) has given new impetus to this sentiment”.

“Collaboration between companies leads to excellent results in terms of sustainability and represents a further step in making our product Versalis Revive PE ever more technically performing, with the aim of being able to increase the content of recycled material in the various applications, as well as reduce its end-of-life impacts,” he explains Franco Meropialiresponsible for Polyethylene and Intermediates of Versalis.
