It was during Wednesday evening that a golf cart in Försakull, Halmstad, drove into a tree. There were two men in the car, one of whom was taken to hospital with serious injuries, reports Hallandsposten.
The accident happened at 9.30pm on Wednesday and an ambulance was sent to the scene. The police now suspect drunk driving. The passenger, a man in his 40s, was not in need of hospital treatment according to police, but was treated for intoxication.
The other man driving the golf cart was seriously injured.
– The man has a skull fracture and internal bleeding, says Johan Ljungthe police officer on duty in the West to Hallandsposten and continues:
– Golf carts are uncomplicated things, it’s a gas and a brake. There’s not much that can go wrong. However, there is not much that protects when you crash.
