In the prosecution documents, which were submitted in September, the horse must have lived emaciated until February this year. The court states, based on witness statements from a veterinarian, that the horse had received too little feed for a long time. It was severely emaciated and lying on its side in its sputum when the vet arrived at the farm.
The court further notes that the man neither gave the horse enough care nor called a vet quickly enough.
All in all, he is sentenced to a total of SEK 7,000 in daily fines for animal cruelty.
