The throne is vacant for a new ski queen to emerge and two of the candidates are Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson when it comes to distance skiing. Expectations are high for the Swedish duo ahead of the coming season and this weekend we will get a first answer when it is time for the premiere of the World Cup in Ruka, Finland.

During the Swedish ski premiere in Bruksvallarna, Ebba Andersson had a real dream start to the season when she took double victories and just beat Frida Karlsson by a margin of seconds on Sunday. There will certainly be continued duels for the Swedes during the coming season.

For Karlsson, it will be a comeback to the Swedish national team again when she now competes in blue and yellow clothes during the World Cup. And after the weekend, the 23-year-old posted a picture on social media that is now widely praised, see it below.
