Many sports clubs can apply for a free VOG, provided their association deals with vulnerable groups, such as youth or people with disabilities. “If all associations have to apply for a VOG, it will cost a few tens per volunteer for clubs that do not deal with vulnerable groups. And that is a lot of money for an association with many volunteers,” says Meijerhof.
