The driver, who lost control of the steering wheel in the Konigsallee Boulevard in the city of Düsseldorf in the state of North – Rhine-Westphalia in Germany, plunged into the pedestrians with his SUV type vehicle. Six people were injured, two of them seriously.
While the area where the accident took place was cordoned off by the police, many ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
THE DRIVER IS 84 YEARS OLD
The police, who do not consider the accident as an attack, emphasize that the accident may have occurred as a result of the heart attack of the 84-year-old vehicle driver. The driver’s health status has not yet been disclosed.
