According to Björn Persson on Eon’s press call, the power was cut in the main line between Oskarshamn and Västervik municipality shortly before seven o’clock on Monday evening.
– When the regional management fell out of the network, it took 4,600 customers with it. We patrolled the management street until it couldn’t go any further yesterday and today we will use tracked vehicles and a helicopter to find the fault in the regional management, says Björn Persson.
“It takes time to find the fault on foot”
Right now there is no forecast for when the electricity may be back or what the fault is due to. But it’s probably weather-related according to E on.
– The line is miles long. It takes time to find the fault on foot and with a tracked vehicle in 40-50 centimeters of snow. With the help of a helicopter, it becomes easier to find the fault.
During Tuesday morning, approximately 3,700 households are without power in Oskarshamn municipality and over 1,200 in Västervik municipality.
– Unfortunately, we couldn’t find the fault yesterday and we regret that many people have woken up today and can’t put on coffee or turn on the lights, says Björn Persson.
