    According to a recent study, the majority of single parents want to meet people and find love again.

    Even if they have children, single parents – more and more numerous in France – are looking for love with a capital A. At least that’s what emerges from a new Badoo study “Dating: parents, but not only”.

    35% of single parents would like to find a life partner

    Contrary to popular belief, love takes precedence in the lives of single parents.

    • A majority of them (65%) are looking for a serious love story. Among them, “35% would like to find a life partner, and 30% have a beautiful love story“;
    • Interesting fact: they are only 18% among men and 8% among women at “want to find a second parent for their children“;
    • This does not prevent them from wanting to have fun quite quickly: 15% single parents start dating again the month following their separation;
    • Dads (20%) are more in a hurry than moms (10%) to want to build relationships quickly.
    • However, mothers outnumber men”to consider resuming a love life between 6 months and a year after a separation (24% against 19%)“.

    Children, a delicate subject

    Although 51% of parents surveyed prefer to announce immediately that they have children, a good number of them seem to be quite cautious about this subject.

    Thus, 20% of single parents “don’t want to confide too much at first” and prefer to wait for the relationship to stabilize before talking about their offspring. 8% of them even prefer to keep this part of their life hidden.

    Finally, very few take the plunge of presentations (15%).
