“A bit of fun”
Now, however, Poromaa comes up with an explanation. The background is that Poromaa is sponsored by a glove manufacturer that chose to put its logo on the middle finger.
– I just stood there before the start and thought “this could be a bit of fun”. And so I did it, he says to the newspaper Expressen.
– And I think that’s a fun place to put your logo. So that’s why I did this. And they seem to think it was fun too!

He also takes the opportunity to send a poke to the competitors in Norway.
– Or…was it perhaps aimed at the Norwegians?, concludes Poromaa.
