Argentinian human rights activist Hebe de Bonafini died on Sunday, November 20 at the age of 93. The announcement of the disappearance of theMother of the Plaza de Mayowas made by the Argentine vice-president, Cristina Kirchner, to whom she was very close.

Hebe de Bonafini died in a hospital in the city of La Plata, in the province of Buenos Aires, where she had been admitted a few days ago.
The human rights activist, whose two sons disappeared during the dictatorship, had become a controversial figure, in particular for her unwavering support for the Kirchner spouses. In 2017, she was indicted as part of an investigation for embezzlement.
