Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Cháng Qīng Shù or “The Evergreen Tree” as it is called in Swedish.
It is the nickname of everyone’s Jan-Ove Waldner, who was a big part of Sweden tearing down the so-called “Chinese wall” during the 1980s.
Waldner has been responsible for incredible achievements over the years – and now someone has collected a bunch of them.

The breakthrough for Jan-Ove Waldner, 57, came as early as 1982 when, as a 16-year-old, he made it to the final of the EC in Budapest, Hungary. Then there was a loss against the countryman Mikael “The Apple” Appelgrenbut as you know, success would come eventually.

Tear down the Great Wall of China

With a career spanning no less than four decades, one can’t help but be impressed by Waldner’s unparalleled success. Two Olympic medals, including one gold, sixteen WC medals, six of which were of the gold variety, as well as a total of nineteen EC medals, of which nine were gold, are just some of the achievements that JO Waldner has achieved.

Two feat golds, 1989 and 1992, must also be entered on that list. The former was awarded to Waldner together with his teammates Mikael Appelgren, Peter Karlsson, Eric Lindh and Jorgen Persson since they took home the World Cup gold after tearing down the Great Wall of China and ending Chinese dominance.
