The Dutch handball players finished in sixth place at the European Championships in Slovenia, North Macedonia and Montenegro. The team of national coach Per Johansson lost the battle for fifth place against Sweden 37-32. Angela Malestein from Bunschoten scored five times and was one of the top scorers of the Dutch team.
