– The reason we are releasing information is that there is a lot of speculation and that we get a lot of questions, says Rickard Finndahl, head of the Police’s serious crimes in the Highlands to SVT.
Last call
He mentions, among other things, the time of the crime and the trip to a fast food restaurant that one of the suspects made during the night. The last call Tove is said to have made was at 01:48.
– Our assessment is that the crime took place or began between 02.00 and 02.45. As far as the trip is concerned, we have a clear picture of the course of events and have interviewed the people we need in that part.
The time has been determined by the police through interrogations and analyzes of material, something like Vetlanda-Posten be the first to tell. The police have surveillance footage, which was helpful in the timeline the police built.
– It matches well with other information we received in the preliminary investigation, says Rickard Finndahl.
No other suspects
Another aspect about which there has been a lot of speculation is whether more people are involved. There are currently no such suspicions.
– We have no signs that others are involved.
The two women in their 20s who were suspected from the beginning are in custody on probable cause, suspected of murder, kidnapping and violation of grave peace.
– We have a lot of investigation work left and we will be in the areas around Vetlanda. Although there are many of us, it does not mean that we are looking for something special, but it may be that we come back to certain places for completion. There are many of us investigating this.
