It concerned different types of trees, including three rare Coelhorster apple trees that had been cultivated as part of an action to preserve special tree species. Because the bark around their trunk is peeled, no sap can flow through anymore, so the trees have no chance to survive. At the time, the municipality was talking about a damage amount of 100,000 euros.
