Fast & Furious 10 is set to end Vin Diesel’s action series with a bang. And possibly with the financial ruin of the producers. According to insiders the film will now cost a staggering $340 million making it at least the third most expensive film of all time.
Fast & Furious 10 is the 3rd most expensive movie of all time: how did it happen?
This is now reported by The Wrap with reference to anonymous sources. As a result, the budget of the action film is increased by increases in Acting fees, inflation and corona security measures almost exploded. Such high expenses were probably not planned. For example, its predecessor, Fast & Furious 9, only cost $200 million (via The Numbers).
Fast & Furious 9 is now at over a third of a billion dollars the 3rd most expensive film of all time. Only the big MCU finale Avengers 4: Endgame and the pirate blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean – On Stranger Tides cost even more, as Insider calculates. Mind you, this is only the production budget, the sometimes horrendous advertising costs are on top of that.
When will the action hit Fast & Furious 10 with Vin Diesel be in cinemas?
Fans and producers will only find out in a few months whether all the effort was worth it. Fast & Furious 10 is released on May 18, 2023 in German cinemas.
