The president of the United States, the main supporter of Ukraine Joe Biden considers it unlikely that the missile that caused destruction in Poland yesterday was fired from Russia. Biden commented on the issue at the end of the G20 meeting in Bali.
He was asked if the missile was fired from Russia.
– There is preliminary data that calls this into question. Considering the flight path, it is unlikely that it was shot from Russia, Biden answered.
Biden said he would wait for a full investigation into the matter before making a more detailed statement.
Biden previously called the leaders of allied countries in Bali for an emergency meeting because of the situation. At the meeting, it was decided to carefully investigate the hit and make decisions about further actions based on this investigation.
According to the AP news agency, three US official sources, who spoke anonymously, say that the preliminary assessment suggests that the Ukrainians shot the missile that ended up in Poland in an attempt to counter the attacks carried out by the Russians in Ukraine yesterday.
The missile in question hit the village of Przewodów in Poland and killed two people. According to Poland, the missile was Russian-made.
