The Göta Court of Appeal determines the life sentence for a man in his 50s who murdered a woman in Kopparberg in Ljusnarsberg municipality in January this year, reports SVT Nyheter Örebro.
According to the indictment, the man killed the woman by stabbing her several times in the chest.
The man himself must have raised the alarm about what had happened. He is said to have been heavily intoxicated at the time.
The court disagreed on the sentence and a judge and a jury wanted to reduce the sentence to 18 years.
