According to the government’s new budget, the interest rate on the CSN loan will be increased by a mark-up rate to cover losses from unpaid CSN debts.
The decision, which comes into effect at the turn of the year, has attracted a lot of criticism and the union student organization, Saco, has started a petition and has so far received over 80,000 signatures.
– Disappointed that they do not listen to us students and others in this matter, but continue to drive on that track even in the economic situation we have in society in general, says Adam Kedert, vice president of the Saco student council.
