The woman was visited by an animal welfare inspector at her home in Sölvesborg. During the visit, the woman told that she had beaten her dog to death with a hammer, and in connection with that she said that she was going to kill the inspector as well.
The police were present during the inspection, and heard the statement.
Now, despite her refusal, the woman is sentenced to a suspended sentence and community service. She must also pay SEK 5,000 in damages to the animal welfare inspector.
