Swedish inflation fell in October to 9.3 percent, according to new figures from Statistics Sweden (SCB).
At the same time, vegetables and fruit have increased greatly in price during October compared to the previous month. But clothes, newspapers and household appliances have also increased significantly.
Among other things, cauliflower has increased by a whopping 33 percent in just one month, and tomatoes by over 16 percent.
Although there are improvements, inflation continues to put pressure on households. If energy prices are excluded, inflation instead rose to 7.9 percent in October compared to 7.4 in September. This when food prices continued to rise by 1.5 percent in October compared to the previous month.
– You just have to bite the bullet. This will be a tough time and a difficult economic time, says Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
