Paradox gets to wave the blue-yellow flag among Swedish game developers at this year’s The Game Awards, which have released their nominations ahead of this year’s gala.
The Swedish developer has been nominated for best simulator/strategy for “Victoria 3”.
Composer duo Two Feathers – Elvira Björkman and Nicklas Hjertberg – have been nominated for Best Music for their contribution to Sweden’s The Outsiders “Metal: Hellsinger”, and Erik “d00mbr0s” Sandgren and Robert “RobbaN” Dahlström have the chance to win the Best eSports Trainer category.
It is a relatively sparse year in terms of Swedish nominations, compared to last year when Josef Fares and Hazelighst’s “It takes two” was named best play.
The most nominations this year have “God of war: Ragnarök” with ten nominations, followed by “Elden ring” with seven. Both games compete in the game of the year category against “A plague tale: Requiem”, “Horizon forbidden west”, “Stray” and “Xenoblade chronicles 3”.
The gala takes place on December 9.
