The former SD politician Rebecca Ädel regretted it last week and said she wanted her assignments back in Nynäshamn. To P4 Stockholm, Ädel says that she intends to continue running the politics of the Sweden Democrats.

– I was elected as a Sweden Democratic politician and I will continue to stick to that party line even if I myself no longer belong to the party, she says to the radio.

It was two weeks ago that Expressen and Expo reported that Ädel in the early 2010s wrote for a Nazi site. After the revelation, she left her political posts and the party.

Rebecca Ädel now tells P4 that she distances herself from previous connections to right-wing extremism.

– These are things that I myself want to forget, they are things that I don’t want to talk about, she says.

The municipality of Nynäshamn is investigating Rebecca Ädel in her role as a junior high school teacher.
