When will Warzone 2.0 start? It starts on November 16 at 7 p.m.
Is Warzone 2.0 free? The new Battle Royale is Free2Play again. It is currently not entirely clear whether you need PS Plus or Xbox Live to gamble. If you don’t need PS Plus, for example, 25 cents could be incurred in the PlayStation Store, as with the first Warzone.
How big is the download? On Steam you only need around 25 GB to download the full game.
Do I absolutely need CoD MW2 to play Warzone 2.0?
Is there a preload? Yes, Warzone 2.0 will be available to download from November 14th at 7pm – the preload is online for all platforms.
How does this work with CoD MW2? Warzone 2.0 is an expansion for Modern Warfare 2 and you start the game via the launcher of MW2 – just like Warzone 1. You can then decide again which parts of the game you want to drag onto your disk and which not.
In addition, the progress systems of the two CoDs are linked again. You level your account, weapons and Battle Pass in both games. Warzone: Mobile will also be added later.

What game is Warzone? Warzone uses the well-known Battle Royale principle and throws you onto a large map with over 100 players. The playing field gets smaller and smaller over time until it comes to a grand finale – only the last surviving team wins.
What else does it offer? In addition to the Battle Royale, there is a DMZ mode. With this, CoD enters the extraction shooter market and tries to use a gameplay like Escape from Tarkov. You will be abandoned on a map, fight against players and NPCs and then let yourself be extracted again – if you survived.
How does the map look? The new map is called Al Mazrah and offers a desert setting:

What changes compared to the first Warzone? There are already fundamental changes due to the revised engine – Warzone 2.0 plays like Modern Warfare 2. But apart from that, there are some adjustments to the mechanics:

What about my cosmetics and Warzone 1? Warzone 2.0 starts with a completely empty inventory. All of Warzone 1’s cosmetics will remain there as well. The old Warzone goes offline for 12 days after the release of Warzone 2 and then comes back as Warzone: Caldera.
