(Finance) – The minister Giancarlo Giorgetticonfirming that for 2023 they will be destined at least 21 billion euros against energy costs, highlighted how the Budget policy will continue in the wake of the interventions adopted so far to limit as much as possible the impact of the high inflation on household budgets, in particular the most fragile ones, and to safeguard the competitiveness of the national entrepreneurial fabric. The Minister of Economy and Finance spoke in hearing at Special commissions of the House and Senate to illustrate the Update note of the Def presented by the Government, in consideration of the new macroeconomic and public finance planning framework.

In view of the maneuver the government is also studying the extension of the income and remuneration threshold for the VAT numbers who adhere to the flat-rate scheme and an optional replacement scheme, the so-called incremental flat tax that the minister judged “positive”, for holders of income from work or business not adhering to the flat-rate scheme. The resources for these and other measures, Giorgetti reiterated, will have to be found in cost savings or in the maintenance of other measures.

Among the changes subject to the next budget law there will also be the review of the Superbonus, “on 110 we need a rationalization, not an elimination. Giorgetti also underlined the government’s willingness to start a common reflection to manage the difficulties on the credit transferwhile the wedge tax and the recovery of the purchasing power of workers will be at the center of the confrontation that the government will initiate with the social partners. The next budget lawhe finally clarified, will be presented to Parliament at the latest within three weeks: “I will be happy – he concluded – to hurry this deadline and we will make every effort to solve all technical problems as soon as possible”.
