Human trafficking for sexual purposes is described by the UN as a form of slavery. As for women, they are often exploited for sexual purposes, but few want to tell about it.
“Save my whole life”
Jenny Strömstedt met Zeljka, who chose to tell.
— The Swedish Migration Agency wants me to go home to my country. I do not want that. I will be afraid of these people for the rest of my life. I am so afraid that I will be forced to return, she says in the interview.
“Not a criminal”
The Tidö Agreement states that people must be able to be deported due to a lack of good conduct – which could be, for example, prostitution and drug abuse.
— I think the government equates prostitutes with criminals. The woman cannot be equated with criminals, says Zeljka.
