This is what happens to T’Challa in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
The Black Panther sequel starts right before the opening credits with T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) revealing about the condition of her dying brother is kept up to date. Panicked, she has to listen helplessly as T’Challa’s heartbeat finally stops and the superhero’s death is announced.
Following this, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever shows the Burial of the King of Wakandawho is transported away in the coffin, while his image is immortalized with murals, among other things, for the ceremony.
For the opening credits, where the Marvel logo is shown as usual, the music stops completely. Instead, the opening credits serve to again scenes of Boseman from Black Panther to show to honor the deceased actor with a tribute again.
Exactly what T’Challa dies of in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is not clearly stated. In one scene from the Marvel film, it is only said that he is at a deadly disease suffered. Presumably, this is also intended to refer to Chadwick Boseman’s real cancer. In the end credits, it is again shown that the whole film is dedicated to the deceased star.
