Sjaak Vreeken is a crane operator at soil remediation company Sarpi Veolia. Since the beginning of this week, he has been working on the site with his excavator to prepare the actual remediation. “The entire garden is very overgrown, so all shrubs and trees have been removed first. There was still a lot of waste in the garden such as plastic, fire extinguishers, containers and power cables. But we also found old mopeds and rusted bicycles, it was really a huge mess.”
