In the coming 24 hours, the electricity price will land on average at a super-low two öre per kilowatt-hour throughout the country, according to pricing on the Nord Pool electricity exchange. By way of comparison, electricity during the day on Thursday cost an average of 41 öre/kWh throughout Sweden, and that’s where the price has been so far during November.

During a few individual hours last night, so much power is produced, while consumption is low, that the price lands below zero.

The reason is a strong wind blowing in over Sweden, but high wind production in Denmark and Germany also contributes.
