The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) in Bilthoven today sends out the first invitation letters for a new vaccination campaign. About 800,000 teenagers receive an invitation to be vaccinated against the human papilloma virus (HPV). That virus can cause cervical cancer, among other things.
