“At what price should you win?”

Norrbotten took home the victory in this year’s edition of the TV puck.
Now, however, the team is receiving criticism from Luleå Hockey’s coach Thomas “Bulan” Berglund.
– Half the team has hardly any ice time, he says in an interview with NSD.

On Sunday, Norrbotten, somewhat unexpectedly, secured the victory in the TV puck when Stockholm Syd was defeated 2–1. Thomas “Bulan” Berglund53, who on weekdays is a coach in Luleå Hockey in the SHL, was one of those who watched when Norrbotten took home the title for the first time in 37 years.

“Bulan’s” criticism

But despite the success, Berglund, who himself won the TV puck with Norrbotten in 1984, is not completely satisfied – this as the team matched its players hard and basically only went around on two fives throughout the tournament.

– It’s clear that I saw that they played with two fives pretty much the whole time and that’s sad. I don’t really want to get involved in what is right or wrong, if you are going to go far you may need to go with two fives. But I can think it’s sad that more people don’t get to play, and that applies to more teams than Norrbotten. It’s more or less half the team that barely has ice time, he tells the newspaper, Berglund tells NSD.

At the same time, Berglund believes that the tournament should remain, but that it needs to be developed.

– There is a lot of interest in it and it is fun for players to be involved. But maybe you need to adjust playing time so that more people can participate. It will be a bit of driving at 100 percent to win now. It is clear that you want to win, but that is perhaps not what is the big meaning in the end. It is to be seen by all and to show that you are a team that is moving forward. But I don’t know how to deal with it. At what price should you win? It can be discussed, he tells the newspaper.
