Information about the incident is scarce, but two men, one in their 50s and one in their 20s, were requested to be detained on October 29.
The district court chose to remand the older man while the younger man was released. Last weekend, another man, who is in his 30s, was arrested.
The suspected kidnapping and extortion must have taken place on October 27.
Fourth person at large
Meanwhile, a fourth suspect is still at large.
– I can’t say much because a suspect is still at large. But the person who we believe has been the victim of kidnapping is in the right, says prosecutor Sofie Derke.
The person who has been the victim of the crime has been beaten but is not in hospital at the moment.
– Kidnapping is when someone is taken away with the aim of abusing or extorting people. That is what I believe has happened here, says Sofie Derke and continues:
– We have good opportunities to sort this out quickly.
However, she does not expect to have filed charges within two weeks.
