In Tokyo, it meant that the trading week started with positive results, while the Hong Kong stock market, which surged more than 5 percent on Friday, started the day cautiously with negative results.
Tokyo’s Nikkei 25 index rose 0.7 percent in early trade, while the broader Topix index added 0.8.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng lost 0.2 percent. In Mainland China, however, things went up, the composite indices in Shanghai and Shenzhen rose 0.2 and 0.5 percent respectively.
