The prosecutor after the shooting in Gavle Gang that goes

Published: Just now

A man was shot dead in Gävle on Saturday evening.

The murder is the latest in a string of acts of violence in the city.

– It’s a bunch of people running around, says prosecutor Micael Dahlberg.

Two boys were arrested on Sunday on probable cause for the murder outside a campus in central Gävle on Saturday evening.

One of them is already known to the police.

– He has been charged with attempted extortion and minor drug offences. He was convicted in the district court for both crimes, but was acquitted of attempted extortion by the Court of Appeal, says Deputy Chief Prosecutor Micael Dahlberg.

Even the victim has figured in police investigations before.

– The victim was charged in court on October 28 with money laundering and drug offences, but it was never completed because a personal investigation had to be obtained first. Therefore it was cancelled.

According to The worker’s sheet he is also mentioned in a preliminary investigation into the murder on Brunnsgatan in Gävle last November, where a gang leader was shot to death. He was never a suspect in the case, but is said to have hung out in criminal circles in Gävle.

Days after the shooting drama

Saturday’s fatal shooting occurs just days after a man was shot outside the travel center in Gävle. The man, who is aged 25, managed without any life-threatening injuries.

The police suspect that the shooting has links to the criminal environment. Prosecutor Micael Dahlberg cannot answer whether it is connected to the shooting outside the campus.

“Not quantities of fittings”

– No, I can’t say that I see any such connection. There’s a bunch of people going around being suspected of different things, but I don’t know if that has anything to do with the other shooting.

Have you made any findings that can help you in the investigation?

– I cannot go into exactly what we found, but it is not a quantity of seizures, says Micael Dahlberg.
