The latest DC blockbuster Black Adam has not only hit the box office thanks to Dwayne Johnson’s anti-hero muscle power. Many fans were above all enthusiastic about the short end credits scenein which Henry Cavill finally returns as Superman.

We already reported that the celebrated moment was filmed at short notice on the last day of post-shooting in about 10 minutes. In addition, there are other details about the scene that Dwayne Johnson without the permission of the ex-DC boss simply waved through from behind.

More details on the making of the Black Adam credits scene were revealed in a Hollywood Reporter article. When the idea for a Superman comeback was floated during post-shoot, former DC boss Walter Hamada was against it. He wanted Zack Snyder’s universe with him Ditch Henry Cavill’s version of the superhero for good.

Among his own new plans was a Superman film with a black lead by author Ta-Nehisi Coates. Dwayne Johnson didn’t want to let Hamada’s rejection sit down. So he just went to current Warner Bros. Pictures executives Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy. Both gave their approval, causing the Black Adam credits scene waved through and realized behind the back of the ex-DC boss became.

After Cavill’s great Superman return Warner is already planning a new DC movie for the star. The right script is currently being sought. Cavill himself recently promised that he wants to bring fans a very optimistic Superman.
