Stating that lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer-related deaths both in the world and in Turkey, Dr. Yavuzyılmaz said, “About 90 percent of lung cancers are caused by the use of tobacco and tobacco products. Therefore, it is estimated that up to 90 percent of the diagnosis of lung cancer can be prevented by preventing smoking. In addition, passive smoking, the presence of a family history of lung cancer, some vitamins, chemicals such as radon or asbestos, industrial products such as arsenic and radiation exposure, some organic chemicals, air pollution, HIV infection and tuberculosis are among the main causes of lung cancer. .

Stating that lung cancer usually gives symptoms with coughing, Dr. Yavuzyılmaz said, “The most common symptom is cough that does not go away or gets worse. Underlining that the treatment of lung cancer progresses individually, Dr. Yavuzyılmaz said, “Each patient is evaluated individually and their treatment is arranged.
