Popular Twitch streamer Rebecca aka “JustaMinx” discovered on the morning of November 3 that a window in her home had been smashed. However, that was only the beginning, because during the day she found an abandoned sleeping place under her house. All this on her 26th birthday.
Who is JustaMinx? The streamer, who often only appears as “Minx”, has been active on Twitch since 2016. Originally from Ireland, she now lives in the USA. As of December 2021, Minx lives in Los Angeles.
Minx has 2 million followers on Twitch, with an average of 1,800 watching her play Overwatch or chat with her fans in Just Chatting. Minx doesn’t mince words, which has earned her a few bans in the past (via sullygnome).
When Minx gambles, he likes shooters like Valorant or currently Overwatch 2.
Streamer’s cats disappear after burglary
What happened to Minx‘ Birthday? On the morning of November 3rd, her 26th birthday, the streamer found a window of her home smashed. Apparently there had been a burglary, or at least an attempt at it.
There was no sign of the streamer’s two cats, Cornelius and Sylum. On Twitter, Minx spoke of what was probably the worst birthday ever:
At this point, however, Minx did not yet know what was to come. At least she was able to capture one of her cats, Cornelius, safely.
Minx discovers “drug den” under her house
What was under her house? But in search of the missing Sylum, the streamer made a creepy discovery under her house: at least one person seemed to have set up there.
Minx reported finding sleeping bags and alcohol in the space. Drugs are also mentioned.
Here’s how Minx summed up her birthday: smashed window, went looking for the cats, discovered drug den under the house.
What do you know about burglars? As Minx reported, there should be security camera footage showing two men. However, they would have worn gloves, which would make it difficult to search for fingerprints (via Twitter).
Meanwhile, the streamer has also turned on the police. However, Minx felt let down by the officers. Because they didn’t let her under the house at first to look for her missing cat. Apparently there was concern that Minx might inadvertently destroy evidence.
In other posts on Twitter, the streamer made allegations against the police: they didn’t care about the break-in, the cat’s disappearance and even the sleeping place under the house until they found the drugs.
The video accompanying the tweet is said to show Minx and her cat sitter exploring the void beneath their house. Meanwhile, the police officers only talked outside.
Could she find her cat? A little later, Minx posted an update that initially had a positive effect. It seemed like she’d finally found her second cat, too.
However, the streamer later clarified that she only discovered him under the house. But he was very scared and didn’t let himself be caught (via Twitter).
Were the perpetrators caught? Another incident occurred during the night: As the streamer reported on November 4, the burglar is said to have appeared at her front door because she had uncovered his drug stash. There is no update yet on whether anyone has been arrested.
Minx seems to be very concerned about the situation and especially about the disappearance of her cat. She wrote on Twitter that she spent the whole night outside waiting for her hangover. Now she doesn’t know what else to do.
It is also currently not known whether Minx will stay in the house, which she has probably only recently moved into. However, she said she hasn’t found her cat, Sylum, and doesn’t want to leave until he gets home (via Twitter).
Minx isn’t the first streamer to be burgled. In 2021, Russian streamer “girl__fighter” was live on Twitch when a man broke into her apartment and started a riot. He even knocked over her desk while she was still streaming.
