Zarif Design, a company that seeks to save Afghan textile heritage

Until next February, the National Museum of Asian Arts is honoring Afghanistan in two exhibitions. The first explores a century of Franco-Afghan archaeological research, the other focuses on contemporary creation, particularly through a rich textile tradition. A company, Zarif Design, founded by Zolaykha Sherzad, continues to bring this exceptional craftsmanship to life despite the country’s isolation.
