New World has finally appeared and many players are trying to reach the max level as quickly as possible. In this guide we would like to tell you how to get to level 60 quickly.
What’s the fastest way to level up? If you want to level up quickly in New World, you should mainly focus on the main quests. These alone give a lot of experience points on the way to level 60.
Side quests, the town quests and lore diaries that you can find along the way are also useful. These give experience points just for clicking. You should also complete at least three faction quests every day. The first three faction quests per day give five times more experience points and gold.
We will explain the exact details for all level phases and the world events in more detail in the course of the guide.
This article has been completely revised to match the Fresh Start on November 3rd.
General tips for leveling in New World: In New World you create a character and use it to complete quests or defeat monsters. There are experience points for this. You have to collect these to get from level 1 to a maximum of level 60.
There are a few tricks you can use to earn more experience points:
Power levels from 1 to 60 – Here’s how
Levels 1-5: If you want to save a little time right away, you can press Escape in the tutorial and select “Skip to New World” directly from the game menu. This saves you some time, but you lose a gift level for your sword + shield weapon.
On the beach it is important that you complete all quests and also take the small quest with you on the way to the first town. It also makes sense to start by crafting all 4 tools and collecting 40 wood, 40 stone, and 16 rawhide. You will need them for a quest in town.
Apart from this quest, you leave out the gathering of raw materials, with the exception of harvesting. You’ll need them later at level 30. So collect the hemp on the way!
Levels 5-17: In these stages you basically follow the main storyline until you are able to join a faction.
Level 17: This is where you get your faction quests, but only in the Everfall area. There are two ways here:
Levels 18-23: You can continue to follow the main quest up to level 23. Then it goes into the first expedition Amrhein excavation.
Together with the quest about Schnarchimedes, which you get directly at the instance entrance, you have four quests for the dungeon, which gives you a lot of experience points.
Levels 23-60: From here applies: Complete the main quest and the side quests that you encounter on the way. In cities, accept the city quests and think about the faction quests.
If you like to be in groups, you can also grind dungeons. At about level 33 you get access to the instance “The Destroyed Obelisk”. From level 43 you can enter the dungeon depths, from level 53 you can enter the “Dynasty Shipyard”.
You are also welcome to take the world events around the Corrupted Portals with you. They also bring good experience if you find teammates for them.
From level 50 you can also take part in the PvE invasions on fortresses or enter the instanced arenas where you have to fight a boss. However, the quests for this arena are only available from level 57.
How long does leveling take? If you are in a good group, you can get through level 1 to 50 in about 15 to 20 hours of play since the rework. With this level you can already experience almost all content of New World. If you want to reach the max level of 60, you have to invest a few more hours.
