Marcel “Montana Black“ Eris (34) is number 1 on German Twitch when it comes to followers. Theo made famous through casino streams and role-playing in GTA V “Scurrows“ Bottländer now claims that MontanaBlack owes him money, even a hefty sum of over €10,000 – and is publicly exerting pressure.
Who are the two?
MontanaBlack has also been extremely successful with casino streams for a while. He is said to have borrowed money from Scurrows to gamble. Scurrows wants that back now. But his way of demanding it is not well received.
MontanaBlack and Scurrows both enjoy being in GTA Online.
Scurrows demands five figures from MontanaBlack
What does Scurrows claim? On November 2, Scurrows publicly reached out to MontanaBlack via Twitter. His claim: MontanaBlack has owed him a five-figure sum for a long time, but would not respond privately to any contact. MontanaBlack “ghosted” him.
As a Twitter user reports, Scurrows is said to have provided a little more context in the stream. MontanaBlack is said to have borrowed the money from Scurrows to gamble (via Twitter).
Also streamer friend of Scurrows, Kevin “orange-orange” Bongers, claimed to have been duped by MontanaBlack. He is said to have bought a GameBoy for €3,000 from MontanaBlack, but he never received the device (via Twitter).
How are people reacting? On Twitter, some users were surprised by this information. Finally, MontanaBlack has in the past distanced himself from friends who owed him money.
Some comments also note that MontanaBlack would hardly be short of money to pay off its debt. That was very disappointing, according to a Twitter user (via Twitter).
Others protect MontanaBlack: He just has a lot to do and doesn’t act with bad intentions (via Twitter).
Scurrows responds with an ultimatum
Here’s how Scurrows wants to get the money back: Apparently unsatisfied with the reaction to his tweet, Scurrows followed up on November 3 – and gave MontanaBlack an ultimatum.
What is this ultimatum? If MontanaBlack can provide proof of sending the money by 8:00 p.m., Scurrows promises to donate it to charity. On top of that, he wants to add €15,000 out of his own pocket.
Scurrow’s demand: don’t do it for me, do it for a good cause. He accompanied this demand with the shocking photo of a starving child (via Twitter).
In this way, MontanaBlack should probably be motivated to transfer the money. Finally, it is suggested that he is partly responsible if the money is not donated.
Twitter users believe: Ultimatum has an unpleasant aftertaste
How is that received? While Scurrows had received plaudits for his original reference to the debt, the ultimatum now went too far for some.
For them, the ultimatum seemed like Scurrows could donate such a sum at any time. However, the fact that he ties the donation to a payment from MontanaBlack gives the whole thing an unpleasant aftertaste, according to one user. After all, it’s for a good cause (via Twitter).
How does Scurrows react to the criticism? He justifies himself: it is his money and he would miss it later. Without MontanaBlack’s repayment, he could only donate a smaller amount (via Twitter).
He also simply hidden numerous comments, and he is said to have blocked some users because they had criticized him (via Twitter).
What does MontanaBlack say? MontanaBlack has not yet publicly responded to Scurrows’ request. We will keep you updated as new information comes about.
