Halland or Haaland? The Norwegian soccer star Erling Haaland’s popularity and the similar spelling have meant that Haaland has taken over both the hashtag and Google’s image search when searching for Halland.
Jimmy Sandberg, head of the tourism organization Visit Halland had enough and wrote an open letter in which he appeals to people to spell the star’s last name correctly.
– We felt that we had to do something, says Sandberg.
Norwegian star player Erling Haaland has been a huge success after moving to the Premier League and Manchester City in the summer. In 16 games, he has scored 22 goals.
