Young people’s total debts with the Crown Enforcement Agency have increased by SEK 430 million, compared to ten years ago. The number of people in debt has, however, decreased slightly, according to new statistics from the Norwegian Kronofogden.
Three percent of everyone between the ages of 18 and 25 has debts with the Kronofogden. In total, they owe SEK 1.56 billion.
Young women usually end up with the bailiff when they have shopped online. Among young men, telecom debts are most common.
– It is tough to start adult life with debts, says Davor Vuleta, analyst at Kronofogden.
