DC fans will have to wait quite a while for The Batman 2. Although the sequel starring Robert Pattinson has already been announced, the blockbuster is unlikely to be released before 2024. Warner Bros. is building Matt Reeves’ dark universe beforehand – with several spin-off serieswhich includes The Penguin.

How I Met Your Mother star Cristin Milioti to play crime boss’ daughter in Penguin series
Details of the content of the penguin series are not yet known. Most recently, it was only announced that Mare of Easttown director Craig Zobel is on board as a director. How I Met Your Mother star Cristin Milioti is also joining the cast of the DC series, Variety has now revealed. In the sitcom she played the titular mother of Ted’s childrenwho died tragically.
In the Penguin series, Milioti is portrayed as Sofia Falcone be seen, the daughter of crime boss Carmine Falcone (John Turturro). She is presumably following in the footsteps of her father, who died in The Batman if the spin-off is set after the events of Matt Reeves’ film. The end of the DC blockbuster at least hinted that the penguin now wants to take over the powerful position of the dead Falcone.
A start date for the penguin series has not yet been set. In addition, Warner is developing another DC series from Matt Reeves’ Batman universe, which will be shown in Arkham Asylum should play.
