A man in his 20s has died of his injuries after a shooting in the district of Bäckby in Västerås. The police have therefore started a preliminary investigation into murder.
It was during Tuesday afternoon, shortly before 5 p.m., that the police received several reports of gunfire. According to the police, it is someone or a few people who must have found an injured person and then notified the police. The injured person was taken to hospital with serious injuries but later died, according to the police update shortly after 9 p.m. The man’s next of kin have been notified.
