Four people are facing charges after police seized illegal drugs, cash and stolen items from a property near Port Dover on Friday.
Members of several police units searched a property at Concession 5, Woodhouse. The four accused were taken into custody without incident and charged.
Norfolk County OPP, Haldimand/Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit, Emergency Response Team members and OPP Canine Services took part in the search.
“Our Community Street Crimes Unit has been very effective with proactive illicit drug investigations. This is yet another example that highlights how the police and the community continue to work in partnership to resolve crime,” Norfolk OPP Inspector Jodi Kays said in a media release.
A 27-year-old Norfolk woman has been charged with drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a prohibited device or ammunition.
A 39-year-old Norfolk County man has been charged with drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.
A 42-year-old man from Niagara Falls, ON and a 54-year-old Norfolk resident are both facing drug trafficking charges and possession of property obtained by crime.
The accused are scheduled to appear in court at a later date to answer the charges.
