Shingles is an infectious disease that you can get if you have previously had chickenpox. It’s common to have rashes and blisters that hurt, but it can actually also be very dangerous – especially if you get it when you’re older.
– One thing is known: that when the immune system goes down, that’s when shingles flares up, says Dr. Mikael, who today answers the viewers’ questions about the disease.
