The test for new taxi drivers is being modernized as of today.
Among other things, the map reading test will be scrapped, and questions about today’s navigation technology will be included in the written tests instead, writes the Swedish Transport Agency on its website.
For security reasons, the names of the taxi drivers must also be removed from the driver’s license in the cars, and instead replaced by personal driver codes.
Another change is that the driving test will be done with an automatic car.
