This year’s symposium, which will also be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health, will include faculty members from different universities’ faculties of medicine, health sciences, communication and literature, as well as specialist doctors and corporate communications officers working in different hospitals.
Giving information about the symposium, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences Prof. Dr. Bülend Aydın Ertekin said, “This year’s symposium, which will last for two days, will present 21 academic papers.
In addition, a total of 24 guest academics and expert guest speakers will take part in special sessions and panels. We expect the participation of M. Burak Öztop, General Manager of Health Promotion of the Ministry of Health, to the opening ceremony of the symposium to be held on November 3rd. In the first panel that will start after the opening, we will talk about ideal health journalism and programming.
Medimagazin Editor-in-Chief Dr. İbrahim Ersoy, Secretary General of the Health Reporters Association Selma Bıyıklı Adabaş, and Tvnet health program producer and presenter Ayşenur Asuman Uğur will be with us in this panel. In the second panel, which will be organized online on November 4, we will evaluate the current developments in health communication. Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Haydar Sur from Istanbul University, Faculty of Communication, Prof. Dr. Ayla Okay, Manisa Celal Bayar University Assoc.
