While the eyes of the whole world are focused on the Russia-Ukraine tension, moves and statements are coming one after another. Finally, US President Joe Biden announced that he will send troops to NATO countries in Eastern Europe.
President Joe Biden, on his way back to Washington DC after his visit to the city of Pittsburgh, made statements to reporters about the tensions on the Ukraine-Russia border.
“Have you decided when to send US troops to Eastern Europe?” asked a journalist. To the question, “I will send US troops to NATO countries in Eastern Europe soon.” gave the answer.
The Spokesperson of the US Department of Defense (Pentagon), John Kirby, announced on Monday, January 24, that 8,500 soldiers are on alert to provide support in case the NATO Response Force is activated against unexpected situations in the Ukraine crisis.
