(Finance) – Vodafone participates in Lucca Comics & Games 2022, the Italian comics and games fair scheduled in Lucca from today 28 October until 1 November, and enters the videogame metaverse Fortnite with its first “game map”, Home of the Unstoppable: a map of the medieval city of Lucca enriched with elements tech and “futuristic” in which all gamers can challenge each other.
In the Vodafone area in Piazza San Michele in Lucca, which will host various gaming stations for the duration of the event, it will be possible to participate in exciting gaming challenges. All fans will be able to test the new Fortnite map: in each game session, gamers will have the goal of repairing “generators” within a time limit, avoiding being stopped by the so-called “hunter”, a player selected in turn among the various participants. Whenever a player achieves the goal he gains perks, such as a “full reload” or one “Super speed”, to continue in the game and try to win the challenge. The gaming experience will be interactive and engaging and will be amplified thanks to the quality, power and reliability of the Vodafone network, which guarantees advanced performances, without limits or interruptions.
Every day – explains the note – a tournament will take place, with the possibility of competing in Vodafone’s Home of the Unstoppable with Pow3r, one of the most famous Italian gamer influencers. The event can be followed by all fans even remotely thanks to the direct streaming of Pow3r on Twitch.
“Thanks to the ultra-broadband and to the millisecond latency of the 5G network we want to guarantee all gamers and fans an experience of the highest quality, both at home and away – he says Gianluca Pasquali, Consumer Director of Vodafone Italia. “On the occasion of Lucca Comics & Games, we wanted to experience a new way of involving our customers by entering the world of the Metaverse, to offer an even more immersive experience that allows players greater interaction and connection, overcoming the barriers of the world. real”.
There will also be a space dedicated to LV8, the Foundation’s learning game Vodafone which allows children, through the video game experience, to acquire basic digital knowledge and some applications.
