More than 60 people are said to have died when a suspension bridge in the Indian state of Gujarat collapsed, reports Times of India.
It is a suspension bridge that was built more than 100 years ago. Over 400 people are said to have been on the bridge at the time, writes the Reuters news agency.
The Times of India describes how the people fell into the Machchu River, and several are feared to have been trapped in connection with the slide.
The 230 meter long bridge has been closed for renovation for six months. Last week, it was reopened to the public, according to Reuters.
